Here at Alex Lewis Motor Mechanic, all vehicles & work is catered for.

Servicing

We can carry out all types of services using genuine or OEM filters and parts as required to maintain your manufacturer’s warranty.

Diagnostics

We use the latest BOSCH & Snap On diagnostic equipment. We are fully subscribed to Autodata for all the latest technical data, covering 1000s of vehicles.

MOTs

We are fully authorised by the DVSA to carry out MOTs on Class 1 & 2 (Motorbikes), Class 4 (cars up to 8 passenger seats, motor caravans and goods vehicles up to 3000kg etc)and class 7 (vehicles weighted between 3000kg – 3500kg).

Repair Work

We can carry out various work, including brakes, tyres, balancing, tracking, exhausts, welding, gaskets, timing belts, tensioners, water pumps and servicing. In October 2003 changes in European legislation meant that it is now possible to have your car serviced at an independent garage without invalidating your manufacturers warranty. This legislation is referred to in the trade as Block Exemption Regulations.

Wrong Fuel

Have you put the wrong fuel in your vehicle? Don’t panic – we can help. We have the equipment to drain the fuel and get you back on the road in no time at all.

Full Recovery

If you require your vehicle to be recovered then please give us a call. We have a Leyland DAF 45 which can be dispatched to your vehicle in need.

Air Con Re-Gas

Air conditioning doesn’t just provide in-car comfort during the hot summer months; it can also be used in winter to demist your windscreen. We recommend your air-con system is recharged with gas and lubricant every 2 years.

Number Plate Printing

Did you know that we are authorised by the DVLA as official Number plate suppliers? We can print number plates on site & fit them within the price.

Winter Checks/Vehicle Inspections

Is your car ready for this winter weather? We can check all fluids, wipers and bulbs, and also carry out a full or mini service.

We stock a range of engine oils, screen wash, wiper blades, de-icer, spray grease, service spray, bulbs and air fresheners.
